Mars, Vanderlande and Van Berkel Logistics, three companies with strong roots in the Veghel community, are jointly taking a step towards a more sustainable future with the introduction of an electric terminal tractor. The collaboration is a great example of how shippers and carriers can work together to achieve climate goals.
The benefits of the electric terminal tractor go beyond cutting CO₂ emissions. Locally, the real game-changer is how quietly it operates. No exhaust fumes, no engine noise — just smooth and silent moves.
The first experiences of Van Berkel Logistics’ drivers are very positive! While we await the delivery of the brand-new electric terminal tractor early next year, we are temporarily operating this one. It may not yet be in the right corporate design, but it already allows us to enjoy the benefits.
