Sailing exhibition on 200 years of the Zuid-Willemsvaart

‘Dat wat blijft’ is a sailing exhibition dedicated to 200 years of the Zuid-Willemsvaart. The story of the Van Berkel Group is also part of the exhibition. Since 2004 Inland Terminal Veghel has been a fixture on the canal, but the history of Van Berkel along the canal goes back even further. Harrie van Berkel talks about it with Rick Terwindt (our environmental specialist and canal expert). Together with his brother Henk, Harrie founded our company in 1955. His story of daring, perseverance and tackling challenges can be seen at the exhibition that can be visited until 25 July at the Noordkade in Veghel. On that day, Dat Wat Blijft will be closed between 19.00 and 20.00 hours with song and dance performances and a reading by our own Canal poet Rick Terwindt.
